When the overall height of the UL Recognized Component Mark is less than 7/32 of an inch, the trademark symbol may be omitted if it is not legible. When the overall diameter of the UL Listed or UL Classified Mark is less than 3/8 of an inch, the trademark symbol may be omitted if it is not legible. The minimum height of the registered trademark symbol ® in all variations of the UL Listed, UL Classified and UL Recognized Component Marks must be at least 3/64 of an inch.Other required elements for UL Listed and UL Classified certification Marks such as product identity, control number or file number may be displayed in black on a light background or white on a dark background. For the UL Listed, UL Classified and UL Recognized Component Marks, the UL-in-a-circle and the backward UR - including any text immediately above or below the UL-in-a-circle and backward UR - and any required country identifiers must be displayed in a single color (black, white or red).
